About Me

Kyle Abello has grown up in the Valley and attended Santa Ynez Valley Union High School. Upon graduation in 1998, he went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of California, San Diego, with a minor in Humanities. While at UCSD, Kyle worked as a Teaching Assistant in both Biology and Biochemistry as well as serving as a Tutoring Specialist at the OASIS Center. He graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Kyle has over 25 years of tutoring experience! In addition, he also had the honor of competing as a contestant on Jeopardy! with former host Alex Trebek.

Kyle recently retired after twenty years of service as the founder of Buellton Recreation, where he was responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing a diverse program of recreational activities for people of all ages and overseeing the operation of the Buellton Community Recreation Center.

Kyle was elected to serve on the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District Board of Trustees for two terms and he is currently serving on the College School District Board.
